Santa Claus

Leon McBryde first put on the red suit in 1962 at the age of 17, at Belk’s Department Store in Fayetteville, NC. After an exciting and unusual life doing everything from clowning with The Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey Circus to being the President of the Fantasy Factory Ltd., - everything from creating children’s Christian television shows, writing shows for Ronald McDonald, designing specialty motel rooms for Holiday Inn, and being inducted into the Int’l Clown Hall of Fame, Leon returned to the red suit.

Leon specializes as Santa Noel - a performance based Santa in Southern Florida and can be found making appearances in private homes or in the most prestigious hotels, such as the Biltmore in Coral Gables, FL and for five years was the Santa for Atlantis, the resort in the Bahamas. In April of 2018, another honor was bestowed on Leon - his induction into the International Santa Claus Hall of Fame.

In 2023 Leon returned to Botetourt County where he lives with his wife, Linda, and he will offer Santa Noel to Roanoke, Lexington and surrounding areas. Leon believes that use of his character, Santa Noel, should be part of the community. You can find him working with hospice, visiting in hospitals and taking part in non-profit events. COMMERCIAL APPEARANCES

There is nothing more uplifting during the Holiday Season than to have Santa Claus show up at your event. Just his appearance alone brings warm smiles, excitement and fond memories. It’s a way of saying “Thank You” and “Things are going to be all right”. Santa will bring with him his candy cane chair and two cut-out elves for photos. We will be glad to work with you on having the Santa Show (a 45-minute “Magic of Christmas” with music and story telling) or just visiting with Santa.

Now is the time to book before the calendar is full. All commercial times have a one-hour minimum. To help you plan your event, allow 2 minutes per child for a photo and personal visit with Santa.

After booking, additional information on working with Santa and your events will be available to you. I look forward to being a part of your team at this year’s Holiday celebration.

Country Clubs:

The Holiday season is a special time for family and friends. How special for your members to share a visit with “Santa Claus” and their children and grandchildren - a chance to make lasting memories as they sit on Santa’s lap, sharing their Christmas wishes and a photo. Or it could be a visit with Santa during breakfast, lunch or dinner as he goes from table to table.

Hotels:
One of the most often asked questions by children who are away from home during the Holidays is “How will Santa Claus find me?” This is a perfect opportunity for your hotel to offer a solution to your guest’s concern. You can have Santa Noel visit the hotel by hosting a visit with Santa in your lobby under the tree. Or on a more personal note, arrangements can be made for Santa Noel to visit guest rooms. A personal visit with the Jolly Old Elf at your home is a time for family and friends, photos and story telling with props from the North Pole.
